Patchwork: The Architecture of Jadwiga Grabowska-Hawrylak

Center for Architecture

Jadwiga Grabowska-Hawrylak was one of the most important Polish architects of her generation. From her contributions to WrocÅ‚aw’s post-war reconstruction in the 1950s to her modernist designs of the 1960s and 1970s, Grabowska-Hawrylak’s career reflects the changing politics and culture of Poland. Through models, films, and photographs, this exhibit examines the architect’s work during the creation of the new WrocÅ‚aw.
